AML AnalystOverchain | Full-Time | Dubai, UAE | Remote availableTeam: Legal, Risk & RegulatoryAbout OverchainOverchain is the settlement layer for global businesses moving money across fiat and stablecoins. We provide the infrastructure that allows financial institutions, payment service providers, brokerages, fund administrators, and large corporates to receive, convert, and settle value at institutional speed and standards, with compliance built in from the ground up.We sit at the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets. Our founders come from institutional FX and payments, and the business is run with the same discipline: deep banking integrations, reliable execution, OTC depth, and white-glove service for clients that move serious money.Trust is what allows us to operate at that level. Our financial crime controls are core infrastructure, not a back-office function, and we are now hiring an AML Analyst in Canada to strengthen them as we scale institutional operations worldwide. The RoleYou'll detect, investigate, and report potential suspicious activity across the Overchain platform, combining analytical precision with sound judgement to keep us compliant with global AML/CFT requirements while enabling the business to grow.Day to day you'll lead onboarding reviews, periodic reviews, and transaction monitoring investigations, and you'll identify emerging typologies in virtual asset movements to sharpen our detection logic and improve controls. It is hands-on work with real influence: the patterns you surface feed directly into how we build and tune our monitoring framework. You'll work closely with the MLRO and across compliance, legal, and operations, covering a client base that spans the GCC, Europe, and Asia. The role can be worked remotely, with the expectation that you are based in the UAE and available across UK and Gulf hours.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct Customer Due Diligence, Enhanced Due Diligence, periodic reviews, and event-driven reviews of corporate clients in line with applicable AML/CTF requirements and internal procedures.Carry out retrospective transaction monitoring reviews to identify previously undetected suspicious patterns, trends, or activity requiring further investigation or escalation.Investigate and analyse customer transactions to identify potential money laundering, fraud, sanctions concerns, or other suspicious activity.Request, review, and assess client documentation relating to suspended, unusual, or potentially suspicious transactions.Support the MLRO with investigations, escalations, suspicious activity reviews, and other assigned AML/CTF duties.Provide insight and recommendations to improve transaction monitoring efficiency, alert quality, and overall AML control effectiveness.Work with teams across the business to resolve AML issues, client reviews, and escalations promptly.Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of AML/CTF policies, procedures, controls, and monitoring processes.Requirements2+ years of experience in an AML, financial crime, or transaction monitoring role.Strong understanding of AML/CFT frameworks, typologies, and regulatory requirements, with practical experience applying them in blockchain or virtual asset environments.Proven ability to investigate complex transaction flows, identify anomalies, and articulate findings clearly in reports or SARs.Familiarity with blockchain analytics tools such as Chainalysis or Elliptic, and with data-driven investigation methods.Sound judgement on when to escalate and when to close, with the ability to evidence the reasoning either way.Fluency in English.Degree in finance, law, or related field; CAMS or equivalent certification is a plus. What We OfferA hands-on role in a function that is central to how Overchain wins and retains institutional clients.Direct exposure to the MLRO, compliance leadership, and the wider Legal, Risk and Regulatory team, with room to grow as the platform scales.Genuine influence over controls and detection logic rather than working alerts in isolation.Remote working, with flexibility on hours and optional access to workspace in Dubai.AED 150,000 to AED 200,000 base salary, approximately USD 41,000 to USD 54,000, dependent on experience.Support for professional certifications and ongoing training. To apply or learn more, please get in touch with the Overchain team.
