APAC FIELD SERVICE DIRECTOR | SEMICONDUCTOR RELATED

The Field Service Director, APAC Region will lead the strategy, operations and continuous improvement of field service across the region, ensuring high-quality, timely and cost-effective installation, maintenance and repair of advanced semiconductor equipment. The role focuses on maximizing equipment uptime, meeting contractual service-level agreements, strengthening customer relationships and supporting business growth.The successful candidate will lead and develop field service managers, engineers and technicians, overseeing resource planning, dispatch, scheduling, technical training and workforce development. Key priorities include improving service performance against KPIs such as first-time fix rate, response time, equipment availability and technician utilization, while ensuring strict compliance with cleanroom protocols, safety standards and customer requirements.Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and external partners, the Director will support service contract renewals, revenue growth and new service offerings. Responsibilities include managing service budgets and costs, leveraging digital tools, remote diagnostics and data analytics, resolving critical customer escalations, and driving continuous improvement through service performance analysis and reliability feedback.Candidates should possess a degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification, with at least 8 years of experience managing field-based teams, preferably within the semiconductor industry. Strong leadership, customer relationship management, project execution, negotiation and problem-solving skills are essential, alongside the ability to collaborate across functions and cultures. A postgraduate business or project management qualification is advantageous. The role requires flexibility for domestic and international travel of up to 50%, as well as availability for emergency on-call support.
