As an API Connect Developer, you will play a key part in building reliable, secure, and well-governed integration solutions while partnering with architects, developers, QA, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to support high-quality delivery and ongoing platform performance.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, configure, and maintain APIs using IBM API ConnectDesign and implement RESTful APIs based on business and technical requirementsManage the full API lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, versioning, and retirementConfigure API Gateway policies for authentication, authorization, security, rate limiting, throttling, routing, and traffic managementImplement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS/SSL, and related security mechanismsDevelop and maintain API definitions using OpenAPI and SwaggerConfigure API products, plans, applications, subscriptions, and consumer accessSupport and maintain the API Developer Portal and API publishing processesIntegrate APIs with backend applications, databases, middleware platforms, and external systemsWork with REST, SOAP, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, and XMLTroubleshoot API connectivity, security, performance, and integration issuesMonitor API performance, traffic, errors, and availabilitySupport API deployments across Development, UAT, and Production environmentsParticipate in API testing, defect resolution, and production supportCollaborate with solution architects, application developers, QA, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teamsPrepare and maintain API specifications, technical documentation, deployment documents, and support proceduresParticipate in code and design reviews and follow established API development and governance standardsSupport production incidents and resolve API-related issuesRequirementsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field6-8 years of hands-on experience in API management, API development, and enterprise integrationStrong practical experience with IBM API Connect (APIC), including API design, development, configuration, security policies, lifecycle management, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshootingExperience designing and developing REST APIs, with strong knowledge of OpenAPI / SwaggerExperience configuring API Gateway policies including routing, authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and throttling, along with implementing API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and TLS/SSLExperience integrating APIs with enterprise applications, databases, and middleware, and working with HTTP/HTTPS, SOAP web services, JSON, and XML for enterprise and legacy system integrationExperience with API lifecycle management across Development, UAT, and Production, including versioning, publishing, deployment, retirement, testing, defect resolution, and production deployment supportExperience following established API design and security standards, participating in secure API design or review processes, adhering to enterprise development standards, and supporting structured release and change-management processesGood to very good written and spoken English for technical documentation, API specifications, technical discussions, troubleshooting, and collaboration with technical teamsGood to very good written and spoken Arabic for communication and coordination with local Saudi stakeholders and teamsAvailability during Saudi Arabia business hoursPreferred QualificationsExperience with IBM DataPower, IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) / IIB, or IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I)Experience with Kafka or event-driven integrationExperience in the Banking or Financial Services sectorBenefitsPrivate Health InsuranceTraining & Development
