API Integration Engineer

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced API Integration Engineer to design, develop, implement, and support API integrations for Enterprise Security Systems. The role involves integrating Access Control, Video Management Systems (VMS), Biometric Attendance, ANPR, Visitor Management, and other security platforms with enterprise applications such as ERP, HRMS, Identity Management, and Student Information Systems.The successful candidate will have strong experience in REST/SOAP APIs, API Gateways, middle ware technologies, and enterprise system integrations.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain secure API integrations between enterprise security systems and business applications.Develop and support RESTful and SOAP web services.Integrate Access Control, Video Management Systems (VMS), Biometrics, ANPR, Visitor Management, and Attendance systems.Develop API Gateway integrations for enterprise applications.Perform API mapping, data transformation, validation, and synchronization.Troubleshoot API connectivity, authentication, and integration issues.Support end-to-end integration testing, UAT, deployment, and production rollout.Prepare API documentation, interface specifications, and technical design documents.Work closely with software developers, system integrators, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.Monitor API performance and implement optimization improvements.Support digital transformation and enterprise integration initiatives.Required Skills & Experience3–6 years of experience in API development and enterprise system integration.Strong experience with, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, JSON, XML, XSD, Swagger / OpenAPIExperience with API Gateway technologies.Experience with API authentication and security; OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys, SSL/TLSGood knowledge of SQL Server and relational databases.Experience with Postman, API testing, and troubleshooting.Experience integrating enterprise applications using APIs.Knowledge of Git and version control systems.Preferred ExperienceExperience integrating one or more of the following security platforms:ICT Protege GXMilestone XProtectGenetec Security CenterLenelS2 OnGuardSuprema BioStarHanwha Wisenet / SSMAxis CommunicationsHIDGallagherAMAG SymmetryHoneywell Pro-WatchBosch BVMSPreferred QualificationsExperience with one or more integration platforms:WSO2MuleSoftIBM API ConnectApigeewebMethodsOracle Integration Cloud (OIC)Azure API ManagementKong API GatewayAdditional Skills:Knowledge of Microservices architecture.Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS.Knowledge of Identity Management, Active Directory, SSO, OAuth, SAML, and OpenID Connect.Understanding of cybersecurity best practices for enterprise integrations.Preferred Industry Experience:Experience in one or more of the following sectors:Electronic Security SystemsPhysical Security Information Management (PSIM)Smart BuildingsCritical InfrastructureGovernmentEducationAirportsBankingHealthcareLarge Enterprise Integration Projects
