SJA Pathway aims to accelerate success for individuals at every stage, from landing a first job to building products and raising capital.Role Description This part-time remote role is designed for undergraduate and graduate students interested in app development and gaining hands-on experience. Day-to-day tasks may include contributing to the design and development of web and mobile applications, writing and testing code, and assisting in integrating AI-powered tools within SJA Pathway platforms. The role may involve collaborating with other team members on live projects, documenting features and technical specifications, and participating in code reviews and troubleshooting. Students will have opportunities to learn modern development practices, contribute to real products, and build a portfolio while working within a supportive, learning-focused environment. This is an unpaid opportunity intended to provide practical exposure and skill development.Qualifications Strong analytical skills, including problem-solving, debugging, and the ability to break down complex technical challenges.Foundational programming knowledge and interest in software development, preferably with experience in at least one modern language or framework.Effective communication skills to collaborate with peers, share ideas clearly, and document work for technical and non-technical audiences.Willingness to develop basic sales and product awareness skills, such as understanding user needs and how features support business goals.Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent self-taught experience).Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and meet project milestones.Interest in AI-powered tools, startups, and entrepreneurship; prior experience with web or mobile app projects is a plus.Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and basic software development lifecycle concepts is beneficial.
