Position: Design & Reverse Engineering Engineer Department: Engineering / Design & Development Location: Delhi NCR Experience: Minimum 3 Years Employment Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Design & Reverse Engineering Engineer with strong hands-on experience in 3D CAD modelling, manufacturing drawings, GD&T, 3D scanning and reverse engineering. The candidate will be responsible for converting engineering drawings and physical components into accurate 3D CAD models, developing manufacturing documentation, and supporting tooling, fixtures and manufacturing processes.Key ResponsibilitiesConvert engineering blueprints/drawings into detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.Develop 3D models of parts and assemblies, including sheet-metal, polymer/plastic components, surfaces and weldments.Prepare manufacturing drawings, BOMs and BOQs with appropriate dimensional and technical information.Convert existing 3D CAD models into manufacturing-ready drawings.Perform reverse engineering of physical components using 3D scanning and measurement data.Process 3D scanner data and convert scan/measurement data into accurate SolidWorks CAD models.Carry out dimensional interpretation and identify critical/control dimensions.Apply GD&T principles in modelling, drawings and inspection requirements.Design jigs, fixtures, tools and gauges for manufacturing and inspection applications.Prepare assembly layouts and manufacturing process layouts.Support DFM, DFA, FMEA and Poka-Yoke activities.Prepare user manuals, work instructions and computer-based training modules.Work on modelling and documentation as part of the project scope.Coordinate with manufacturing, quality and engineering teams to ensure designs are practical, manufacturable and inspection-ready.Required Technical SkillsSolidWorks CAD – Part, Assembly, Sheet Metal, Surface, Weldment and Drawing.SolidWorks Composer.SolidWorks Simulation.SolidWorks PDM.Strong knowledge of engineering drawing and blueprint interpretation.Good understanding of GD&T.Knowledge of 3D scanning and scan-data processing.Experience in Reverse Engineering and converting measurement/scan data into CAD models.Knowledge of jig, fixture, tooling and gauge design.Understanding of DFM, DFA, FMEA and Poka-Yoke.Knowledge of manufacturing processes and practical design considerations.Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate should have:Strong mechanical design and 3D modelling fundamentals.Practical exposure to reverse engineering and dimensional measurement.Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and visualize components in 3D.Good understanding of manufacturability and inspection requirements.Attention to dimensional accuracy and engineering details.Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams.Good technical documentation and communication skills.Educational QualificationB.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical EngineeringPreferred ExperienceCandidates with hands-on experience in SolidWorks + 3D Scanning + Reverse Engineering + Manufacturing Drawing + GD&T will be preferred.
