Application Engineer

Position OverviewWe are seeking an Application Engineer to support and enhance business-critical applications. The role covers application development, system configuration, and production support to ensure stable and reliable system operations.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Operations & Application SupportMonitor application performance and system jobs to ensure service availabilityInvestigate and resolve user queries and system incidentsPerform structured troubleshooting across applications, databases, and interfacesCommunicate issue impact and resolution status clearly to stakeholdersApplication DevelopmentDesign, develop, and maintain applications and componentsDevelop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objectsImplement functional enhancements and technical improvementsSupport cross system integration developmentSystem Configuration & Change ManagementConfigure and maintain system parameters, workflows, and user access controlsSupport deployment activities and post-release verificationEnsure changes follow established change management processesMaintain technical documentation for configurations and updatesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field from a local university in Singapore, or equivalent qualification2–3 years of experience in application development and supportProficiency in SQL and .NET Core/.NET 6+ (C#)Understanding of application architecture and system flowsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and proactivelyStrong ownership, quick learner, attention to detail, and professional communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience working with enterprise-scale systems is preferred, particularly in financial, accounting, or risk management domains
