Application Engineer

Our client, an HVAC/R manufacturer’s representative based in Wisconsin is seeking an Application Engineer. This business provides commissioning and support to a variety of clients and this position acts as a key technical resource, supporting sales teams and customers throughout the design, pre-sale, and post-sale phases of HVAC projects.This role also includes technical energy analysis, post-sale troubleshooting, and industry-related education. The position is based out of an office in Wausau, WI, includes normal M-F hours, NO on-call hours, and delivers ongoing training and certification programs. The role pays $75K-$100K based on experience and comes with a strong benefit program. The key to this role is an Engineering degree along with proven problem-solving, ability to overcome technical challenges, and the application of engineering expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The incumbent will:Apply various products on new and existing HVAC designsCoordinate sales activities with Estimating Teams and Inside Sales TeamsSolve technical challenges by conducting research, analyzing technical literature, consulting with factory engineers, and working with internal teams.Support an outside sales team by processing design requests and providing expert guidanceCreate quotations and submittals for the customerAssist with training and developing the Inside Sales GroupStay current on any training required by our suppliersQualificationsBachelors Degree in Engineering – BSME preferred1+ years experience working as a EngineerUnderstanding or experience in HVAC Systems and/or ThermodynamicsExcellent verbal and written communications skills to convey complex information clearlyStrong listening skillsAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectivelySelf-motivated and goal-oriented with a determination to see projects through to completion.
