Location: Wilkes-Barre, PA AreaIndustry: Industrial ManufacturingWe are partnering with a global industrial manufacturer seeking an Applications Engineer to join its technical and commercial organization in Northeastern Pennsylvania.This position will serve as a technical resource supporting industrial products and applications across a variety of end markets.

The Applications Engineer will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and customers to troubleshoot technical issues, evaluate product performance, and develop application-specific recommendations.The company is open to considering both early-career engineers and candidates with relevant professional experience. Extensive industry-specific experience is not required.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical and applications support to customers and internal commercial teamsInvestigate product performance, failures, and application-related issuesAnalyze test results and technical data to identify root causes and recommend solutionsParticipate in product testing, trials, inspections, and technical evaluationsWork closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to develop a strong understanding of products and production processesSupport customer visits and field evaluationsPrepare technical reports, recommendations, and other documentationAssist with new product and application development initiativesDevelop into a subject-matter expert capable of providing technical guidance to customers and internal teamsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related engineering disciplineStrong mechanical and technical aptitudeInterest in industrial manufacturing, metals, equipment, or engineered productsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate technical information effectively with both technical and non-technical audiencesComfortable working in both manufacturing and customer-facing environmentsWillingness to travel as requiredRecent graduates and early-career engineers are encouraged to applyPreferred ExperienceExperience in one or more of the following areas is beneficial but not required:Applications engineeringHeavy industrial manufacturingMetals or materialsMechanical equipmentFailure or root-cause analysisProduct testingField engineering or technical serviceThis is an opportunity to join an established global manufacturer and develop specialized technical expertise through hands-on exposure to manufacturing, engineering, product applications, and customers.
