Application Engineer - HKP （Tokyo）https://jobs.ametek.com/job-invite/210051/お客様の技術的な課題を理解し、社内の営業・製品担当・エンジニアリング・製造チームと連携しながら、最適なソリューションを形にしていくポジションです。🔍 主な業務内容 :お客様のニーズや課題をヒアリングし、仕様の整理や改善・新規開発の機会を提案要求仕様を、コスト・量産性・性能を踏まえた実現可能な設計に落とし込み製品の評価・検証、テスト、関連ドキュメントの作成REA／ECN／逸脱対応の管理（正確かつ迅速な処理）見積作成（Quotation）や技術トレーニングの実施、技術サポート提供海外を含むグローバルチームと協働し、継続的な改善活動を推進👤 求める人物：アプリケーション／製品エンジニアとしての経験 3–5年程度（製造業・電気機械系歓迎）ビジネスレベルの英語力（その他言語ができれば尚可）カスタマイズ案件、試作対応、見積経験がある方歓迎リニアモーション、モーター／アクチュエータ、ガイド・レール等の知識があれば尚可SolidWorks経験があれば尚可Job Description: As an Applications Engineer within our global manufacturing organization, you will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative, high-quality solutions to our customers. You will serve as a technical liaison between customers, sales, product managers, customer support, engineering, and operations teams worldwide, ensuring that our products not only meet but exceed expectations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on collaboration, is passionate about customer experience, and is driven to deliver results in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.What you will do:Partner directly with customers to understand their needs, define product requirements, and identify opportunities for innovation and future development.Translate customer specifications into actionable engineering solutions, ensuring designs are cost-effective, manufacturable, and aligned with performance standards.Lead application engineering efforts, including product validation, testing, and documentation.Provide technical support to internal teams including marketing, sales, engineering and manufacturing, ensuring alignment across all phases of the product lifecycle.Manage requests for Engineering Action (REAs), Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and deviations with accuracy and timeliness.Evaluate and recommend materials, components, and processes to enhance product performance and profitability.Working closely with customers to provide customized solutions with a win-win approach to maximize the value add through our engineering solutions to differentiate from competitionsProvide accurate and timely quotations to customersDeliver technical training and support to customers and internal stakeholders.Collaborate across global teams to drive continuous improvement and share best practices.We are looking for:Bachelor’s degree in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum 3-5 years of experience in applications or product engineering, preferable in a manufacturing or electromechanical environment.Experience in customizations engineering, customized solutions, prototypes, quotations is preferred. Experience in linear motion products, lead screw, stepper motor, linear actuators, rotary motors, brushed and brushless DC motors, linear rail and guide systems, motion systems is a plusFluency in English required; additional language skills relevant to markets are a plus.Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods, electromechanical systems, and engineering design principles.Proficiency in MS Office; experience with SolidWorks is a plus.Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs.
