🚨 Hiring: Application Engineer – L2 Application Support📍 Location: Singapore💼 Role: Application Engineer / L2 Application Support⏳ Experience: 3+ yearsAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Application Engineer / L2 Application Support professional to support critical business applications and ensure their availability, performance, and stability.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Node.js, React.js, MSSQL, AWS, Linux/UNIX, microservices, containers, REST APIs, and IT Service Management (ITSM).Key ResponsibilitiesProvide Level 2 technical support for business-critical applications and resolve escalated incidents within defined SLAs.Troubleshoot application issues using Node.js, React.js, REST APIs, MSSQL, AWS and Linux/UNIX technologies.Analyze and troubleshoot MSSQL databases using SQL queries, including data fixes and performance optimization where required.Support applications hosted on AWS EC2, including log analysis, system monitoring and shell/Bash scripting.Configure, monitor and troubleshoot AWS services including EC2, ECS, S3, RDS and CloudWatch.Investigate application, infrastructure and integration issues and perform root-cause analysis.Work closely with development, L1 support, Operations and Engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.Escalate issues requiring application code changes or enhancements to the relevant development teams.Follow ITSM processes covering Incident, Problem and Change Management.Maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides and support procedures.Share knowledge and provide guidance to L1 support teams.Participate in on-call support and handle urgent production incidents outside regular working hours when required.Contribute to technology upgrades, platform automation and cloud migration initiatives.Ensure technical changes are appropriately designed and implemented to minimize operational and business risks.Ensure compliance with applicable policies, standards and regulations.RequirementsMinimum 2 years of experience working with REST API services.Minimum 2 years of experience with React.js frameworks, such as Next.js/Nest.js.Minimum 3 years of experience working with microservices and containerized environments.Minimum 2 years of application/production support experience.Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, React.js and MSSQL.Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services, particularly EC2, ECS, S3, RDS and CloudWatch.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across application, database and cloud environments.Experience with Linux/UNIX and shell/Bash scripting.Good understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and ITIL practices.Experience supporting applications in a production environment and working within defined SLAs.Exposure to cloud migration, platform automation and technology upgrade projects is an advantage.Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline is preferred.Key Skills🔹 Node.js🔹 React.js / Next.js / Nest.js🔹 REST APIs🔹 MSSQL / SQL🔹 AWS – EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, CloudWatch🔹 Microservices🔹 Docker / Containers🔹 Linux / UNIX🔹 Shell / Bash Scripting🔹 Application & Production Support🔹 ITSM / ITIL🔹 Incident / Problem / Change Management🔹 Cloud Migration & AutomationIdeal CandidateWe are looking for someone who is technically strong, proactive and comfortable working in a production support environment.
