Application Engineer-Technical Specialist PowerGen

Cummins Arabia is seeking an Application Engineer to support our Power Generation business unit. In this product-focused role, you will execute technical tasks at the sub-system and component levels for current and future power generation systems. Serving as a key technical liaison, you will coordinate activities across product line engineers, customers, suppliers, and manufacturing to ensure high-performance product delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesStakeholder Collaboration: Gather input from technical team, sales team and project team, and supplier partners to provide recommendations that guide quality product decisions.Project Execution: Apply engineering principles and existing experience to drive day-to-day project tasks, and technical coordination without compromising quality expectations.Technical Documentation: Prepare precise engineering documentation, specifications compliance, and technical calculation sheets to capture technical learnings and support cross-functional teams.Candidate RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably within the Power Generation.Regional Experience: Prior work experience within Saudi Arabia (KSA) or GCC region is preferred.Product Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Cummins products or generator set is a strong advantage.Core Competencies & SkillsSystem Requirements Engineering: Ability to translate customer needs into technical specifications and verifiable acceptance criteria.Cross-Functional Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to build internal networks, explain complex technical topics clearly, and collaborate across diverse cultures.Resourcefulness & Decision Quality: Ability to manage complexity, analyze high-volume technical data, and drive results under tight project schedules.
