Role Description The Application Security Analyst role at UX Foundry is a part-time, remote position focused on ensuring the security and reliability of applications used across the community. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring application security, investigating potential vulnerabilities, and providing technical support and troubleshooting for security-related issues. The role involves collaborating with product and development teams to review configurations, analyze security risks, and recommend improvements to protect user data and systems. The Application Security Analyst will also contribute to documentation and best practices, helping community members understand secure application usage and reporting procedures.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to assess security risks, interpret data, and make informed recommendations.Candidates should possess Application Support and Technical Support skills to assist users, maintain application stability, and address security-related incidents.Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex application and security issues efficiently.Candidates should possess clear Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Understanding of application security principles, common vulnerabilities, and best practices (e.g., OWASP Top 10) is highly beneficial.Experience with incident response, ticketing systems, or helpdesk environments is preferred.Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours responsibly, and prioritize tasks effectively.Relevant coursework or certifications in cybersecurity, information technology, or related fields are a plus.
