OverviewApplication Specialist / Software Specialist manages, configures, and supports educational software and information systems used across schools. This role acts as a key link between educators, administrators, leadership, and IT services to ensure systems are reliable, efficient, and aligned with institutional goals.Roles and Responsibilities – Manage, configure, and support educational software and information systems, including LMS, Student Information Systems and other systems.Act as a bridge between educators, administrators, and IT services to ensure systems run smoothly and meet institutional goals.Provide user support, troubleshooting, system configuration, data management, and process improvement.Create dashboards, custom reports, and data insights using Crystal Reports and Power BI.Support academic, administrative, and leadership decision-making through accurate analysis and reporting.Gather requirements, coordinate with stakeholders, and support projects from planning through implementation.Skills and Competencies – LMS platformsStudent Information SystemsAdvanced Microsoft Office SuiteAPI configuration and integrationApplications developmentMicrosoft PowerAppsCrystal ReportsPower BIDatabaseData analysis and reportingSystem configuration and troubleshootingEducational software supportExperience – Strong background in school systems, educational technology, and application support.Strong critical thinking, organization, and problem-solving skills.Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Able to manage projects independently with planning, prioritization, and follow-up skills.Strong experience in API configuration and app integration.Education –Bachelor’s degree required; Major in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field - Master’s degree is preferred.
