With headquarters in Asia and a collaborative global team, they offer a dynamic, high-performing environment for technologists passionate about financial markets.About the RoleThey’re seeking a Trading Support Engineer to join the core technology team, providing critical support during trading hours while developing engineering capabilities on proprietary trading systems.The Dubai office is at an exciting inflection point - the technology team is growing to support expanding equity trading operations, and this role offers significant growth potential as the office scales.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact for trading application issues during market hours, working directly with Portfolio Managers and TradersProactively monitor system performance and health, identifying and resolving issues before they impact trading operationsManage incident escalation workflows and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure rapid resolutionDemonstrate strong ownership by addressing production issues promptly and communicating resolutions clearly to stakeholdersEngineering & DevelopmentDevelop, maintain, and optimize proprietary trading systems and applicationsBuild engineering features and enhancements in close collaboration with the Asia-based engineering teamLeverage modern AI coding tools to boost productivity and accelerate development cyclesContribute to the in-house trading platform build-out, working with cutting-edge technologiesCollaboration & CommunicationWork effectively across time zones with global team members in Singapore, Hong Kong, and DubaiInterface confidently with traders in a high-pressure, fast-paced environmentBe versatile and ready to take on various responsibilities as the team and technology evolveRequirementsEssentialMinimum 3+ years of application support and/or development experience, ideally at a buy-side firm, trading platform provider, or financial institutionStrong proficiency in Python and SQLSolid understanding of Linux, BASH, and shell scriptingExperience with AWS or other cloud platformsAbility and willingness to work US trading hours from Dubai (approximately 4pm-2am Dubai time)Genuine interest in trading and capital marketsAbility to be present in the office at least 4 days per weekCapacity to work independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic environmentStrong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressureHighly DesirableExperience with FlexTrade, Trading Technologies, Bloomberg AIM, or other OMS/EMS platformsBackground in equities trading systems or other key trading environmentsPrevious exposure to hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, or buy-side technology teamsHands-on experience managing vendor relationships and technical escalation processesProficiency with AI coding assistant tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codex) and ability to leverage AI to enhance productivityFamiliarity with FIX protocol, market data feeds, or order routing systemsDevOps experience (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)
