Application Support Engineer - DevOps (3-5 Years)Role SummaryWe are looking for anwith 3-5 years of experience in supporting, deploying, and maintaining Java-based enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in application deployment, release management, troubleshooting, and production support within DevOps-driven environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDeploy, configure, and support Java-based applications across development, testing, and production environments.Monitor application performance, availability, and health to ensure business continuity.Troubleshoot application, deployment, and environment-related issues, and drive timely resolution.Support CI/CD processes and release management activities using DevOps tools.Collaborate with development, testing, infrastructure, and business teams during deployments and production incidents.Analyze application logs, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.Perform application validation and post-deployment health checks.Support production environment operations, change management, and incident management processes.Participate in application upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.Required Skills3-5 years of experience in Application Support, DevOps, or Production Support roles.Strong experience in deploying and supporting Java/J2EE-based applications.Good understanding of application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic, or WebSphere.Experience with CI/CD and deployment tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, or similar platforms.Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and basic scripting.Experience in log analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management.Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management processes.Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Preferred QualificationsExposure to containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) is an added advantage.Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, or AppDynamics.Experience working in enterprise production support and service management environments.
