Rather than focusing on product design, this role supports customer applications by understanding technical requirements, troubleshooting hydraulic systems, recommending engineered solutions, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, building customer relationships, and working hands-on with mobile hydraulic systems in the field.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary technical resource for OEM customersSupport customer applications involving mobile hydraulic systemsTroubleshoot hydraulic system performance and application issuesInterpret and analyze hydraulic schematics and system designsCollaborate with engineering teams to develop customized hydraulic solutionsGather customer requirements and translate them into technical specificationsSupport product selection, system optimization, and application recommendationsConduct onsite customer visits to provide technical support and application assistanceBuild long-term relationships with OEM customers through exceptional technical serviceAssist with product demonstrations, testing, and technical presentationsSupport trade shows, customer meetings, and new product introductionsCoordinate with internal engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams to ensure customer satisfactionQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent industry experience)Experience with mobile hydraulic systemsCustomer-facing technical support experienceExperience supporting OEM customersStrong hydraulic troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and interpret hydraulic schematicsExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesWillingness to travel extensively throughout assigned territoriesPreferredApplications engineering experienceField applications engineering backgroundExperience with mobile equipment manufacturersHydraulic systems integration experienceTechnical sales or application engineering experienceOff-highway equipment experience including construction, agriculture, mining, forestry, or utility vehiclesExperience with hydraulic component manufacturers or distributorsPreferred Industry BackgroundCandidates with experience from the following types of organizations are highly encouraged to apply:Mobile hydraulic component manufacturersHydraulic distributorsHydraulic systems integratorsMobile equipment OEMsFluid power engineering organizationsExperience with companies such as Parker Hannifin, Bosch Rexroth, Danfoss, HydraForce, Sun Hydraulics, Eaton, Bucher, Husco, HAWE, Walvoil, Continental Hydraulics, HydraDyne, Motion, or SunSource is highly desirable.Interested in hearing more?
