Applications Engineer - Industrial Machinery Manufacuturer (35701)

A global manufacturer of industrial machinery in the Vernon Hills, IL area is searching for Applications Engineer to join their team. The main responsibility is to provide support to clients and address and solve the needs of the clients. This is a full-time and direct-hire role.Applications Engineer Responsibilities:Collect and convert data formats from customers into useable data formatsIdentify and select appropriate components and packaging based on customers’ needs and specificationsManage and create data to generate Cycle Time Analysis studiesAssist and prepare for equipment demonstrations and presentationPerform testing on equipment, new technologies, and new processesTravel to customers’ sites (10-20%)Other job duties are assignedApplications Engineer Requirements:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field (Mechanical, Electronic) or technical trade school preferred1-3 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, factory automation is plusExperience in Cycle Time Analysis preferredAbility to read and understand technical documents (electrical schematics and mechanical drawings)Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SolidWorks, CAD, Visual Components, etc.Able to travel (10-20%)Excellent organizational skills, vernal and oral communication skillsThis position is in an office work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.
