Our distributed teams collaborate across Aquaculture, Marine Biology, Fisheries, Veterinary Science, Nutrition, Water Quality, Engineering, Environmental Management, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Research & Development, and Executive Leadership to support healthy aquatic production, environmental stewardship, operational efficiency, and long-term food security.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Aquaculture Manager to lead aquaculture production strategy, aquatic animal health, farm operations, water quality management, biosecurity, nutrition, sustainability, and technology development. The ideal candidate will oversee production programmes, optimize growing conditions, manage operational risks, and ensure aquaculture activities meet productivity, quality, environmental, animal welfare, and regulatory objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement aquaculture strategies, production plans, operational standards, technology roadmaps, and long-term development programmes aligned with organizational objectives.Manage end-to-end aquaculture operations including hatchery management, nursery operations, grow-out systems, feeding, stocking, harvesting, grading, biomass management, and production scheduling.Develop production plans for relevant aquatic species based on biological performance, market demand, environmental conditions, facility capacity, and operational resources.Monitor water quality parameters including temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, salinity, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, turbidity, alkalinity, and other species-specific indicators.Establish and maintain biosecurity programmes covering disease prevention, quarantine, stock movement, sanitation, visitor controls, equipment hygiene, pathogen monitoring, and emergency response.Collaborate with Marine Biologists, Aquaculture Specialists, Veterinarians, Nutritionists, Environmental Scientists, Engineers, Quality Professionals, Supply Chain Teams, Procurement, Sales, and Executive Leadership.Oversee aquatic animal health programmes including disease surveillance, diagnostics, vaccination where applicable, treatment protocols, mortality analysis, welfare monitoring, and health records.Develop feeding strategies, nutrition programmes, feed-management protocols, feed conversion optimization, and feeding automation initiatives in collaboration with aquaculture nutrition specialists.Manage aquaculture infrastructure including tanks, ponds, raceways, cages, recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), filtration systems, aeration equipment, pumps, oxygenation systems, water treatment systems, and monitoring technologies.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including survival rate, growth rate, specific growth rate (SGR), feed conversion ratio (FCR), biomass, stocking density, mortality, production yield, water quality, energy consumption, production cost, and harvest performance.Conduct production reviews, mortality investigations, biological performance assessments, operational audits, facility inspections, root-cause analyses, and continuous improvement programmes.Ensure compliance with applicable UAE aquaculture, fisheries, environmental, food safety, animal health, water management, occupational safety, and regulatory requirements.Manage relationships with hatcheries, feed manufacturers, veterinary specialists, laboratories, equipment suppliers, technology providers, research institutions, regulators, seafood processors, distributors, and strategic aquaculture partners.Manage aquaculture budgets, feed costs, equipment investments, veterinary services, laboratory testing, infrastructure projects, technology platforms, external consultants, and operational resources.Drive digital transformation through artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted production forecasting, automated feeding, computer vision, predictive health monitoring, water-quality sensors, biomass estimation, digital farm management, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.Utilize aquaculture management software, IoT water-quality sensors, automated feeders, dissolved oxygen monitoring systems, biomass imaging systems, RAS control platforms, Microsoft 365, Power BI, Tableau, laboratory information systems, and production analytics tools.Develop environmental management programmes covering water discharge, nutrient management, waste reduction, energy efficiency, biodiversity protection, responsible feed sourcing, resource conservation, and ecosystem impact reduction.Establish emergency response plans for disease outbreaks, oxygen depletion, equipment failures, water-quality deterioration, extreme weather, mass mortality events, power interruptions, and other operational risks.Prepare executive production reports, biological performance assessments, water-quality dashboards, health reports, sustainability assessments, investment proposals, operational reviews, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.Lead, mentor, and develop aquaculture technicians, farm supervisors, hatchery specialists, aquatic animal health professionals, production coordinators, and multidisciplinary teams while fostering a culture of animal welfare, scientific management, safety, sustainability, accountability, and continuous improvement.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Aquaculture, Fisheries Science, Marine Biology, Aquatic Science, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.Master's degree in Aquaculture, Fisheries, Marine Biology, Aquatic Animal Health, Environmental Management, Sustainable Food Systems, or a related discipline is highly advantageous.Professional certifications in Aquaculture, Aquatic Animal Health, HACCP, Food Safety, Environmental Management, Biosecurity, or related disciplines are preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in aquaculture production, fish farming, shrimp farming, hatchery management, aquatic animal health, fisheries, or related roles.At least 2 years of experience managing aquaculture facilities, production teams, hatchery operations, RAS facilities, marine farms, or multidisciplinary aquatic production programmes preferred.Strong understanding of aquaculture biology, aquatic animal health, water quality, nutrition, feeding management, stocking density, biosecurity, hatchery operations, grow-out systems, harvesting, and production planning.Experience with RAS technology, aquaculture monitoring systems, automated feeding systems, water-quality sensors, biomass estimation technologies, farm management software, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Tableau, and production analytics platforms.Familiarity with AI-powered aquaculture, computer vision, automated feeding, predictive disease detection, digital twins, IoT monitoring, precision aquaculture, remote farm management, and advanced environmental analytics is highly advantageous.Strong leadership, biological and technical analysis, communication, stakeholder management, operational planning, budgeting, problem-solving, biosecurity, and risk-management skills.Ability to manage multiple aquaculture initiatives while balancing animal health, production targets, water quality, environmental sustainability, food safety, regulatory compliance, operating costs, technology investments, and market requirements.Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with distributed technical, scientific, operational, and commercial teams, with occasional travel for farm inspections, hatchery operations, production reviews, supplier meetings,
