Educators at Woodlem British School are encouraged to use innovative teaching methods and collaborate closely with colleagues to enhance student outcomes.Role Description The Arabic Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Arabic language lessons to students in accordance with the school’s curriculum and educational standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching Arabic reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will integrate appropriate cultural and, where relevant, Islamic Studies content into lessons, maintain accurate records of student performance, and participate in staff meetings, parent communication, and school events. Classroom management, support for individual learning needs, and collaboration with other teachers and school leadership are essential aspects of the role. This is a full-time, on-site position based at Woodlem British School in Abu Dhabi.Qualifications Strong Language Teaching and Teaching skills, with proven experience instructing Arabic to school-age learners.Competence in Lesson Planning, curriculum implementation, and use of appropriate teaching resources and methods.Effective Communication skills for interacting with students, colleagues, and families in a professional and respectful manner.Knowledge of Islamic Studies sufficient to integrate relevant cultural and religious context into Arabic lessons when appropriate.Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language, Education, Islamic Studies, or a related field; teaching certification or equivalent qualification preferred.Experience working in a school setting, ideally within a British or international curriculum environment.Ability to use basic educational technology for lesson delivery, assessment, and communication.Commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching practices and continuous professional development.
