Arabic-Speaking Freelance Research Interviewer / SurveyorEngagement: Freelance / Project-BasedRole Overview:We are seeking experienced and highly personable Arabic-speaking Freelance Research Interviewers / Surveyors to support a large-scale research and insights programme.The role will involve engaging directly with participants and conducting structured surveys through a combination of face-to-face, telephone and online interviews.Face-to-face interviewing will include travelling to different participant locations and undertaking pre-arranged home visits where required.Given the sensitive and personal nature of some participant discussions and home-based interviews, we are particularly interested in experienced interviewers who can build trust and rapport with participants and conduct interviews with empathy, discretion and cultural sensitivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structured face-to-face, telephone and online surveys
• Travel to participant locations and undertake pre-arranged home visits
• Engage participants professionally and confidently in Arabic
• Create a comfortable, respectful and professional environment for participants
• Explain survey questions clearly while remaining neutral and avoiding influencing responses
• Handle personal or sensitive conversations with empathy and discretion
• Follow approved questionnaires, scripts and research methodology
• Accurately record and submit responses using digital survey tools
• Maintain strict participant confidentiality and data privacy
• Meet agreed survey completion and quality targets
• Participate in project training and briefing sessions
• Escalate participant concerns or operational issues appropriatelyEssential Requirements:
• Fluent Arabic, with the ability to conduct professional interviews confidently in Arabic
• Currently based locally and available for project assignments
• Willing and able to travel to different participant locations
• Comfortable undertaking pre-arranged home visits
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong empathy and active-listening skills
• Comfortable discussing personal and potentially sensitive subjects
• Professional, discreet and non-judgmental
• Strong telephone and face-to-face communication skills
• Comfortable conducting online/virtual interviews
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data capture
• Able to follow structured research protocols
• Available for freelance/project-based work
• Eligible to undertake freelance/project work locallyPreferred Profile & Experience:Previous experience in survey interviewing, market research, social research, field research, telephone interviewing, community engagement, customer research, assessments or structured data collection would be advantageous.Experience conducting research involving sensitive or personal subject matter, home-based interviews or community engagement would be particularly relevant to this assignment.
