One of the world's pre-eminent international arbitration practices is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its disputes team in Singapore.The group acts in commercial, construction and investment treaty disputes across a wide range of industries, under all major arbitral rules and systems of law. Its Asia treaty practice is among the most active in the region, representing both investors and states in high-profile and politically sensitive matters.The role offers a mixed diet of work across international arbitration, litigation and investigations, with genuine responsibility from the outset. The successful candidate will take a substantive role on large cases and carry day-to-day conduct of smaller ones. Work will include international law research, analytical memoranda and client correspondence, drafting arbitration memorials, and managing the preparation of witness statements and expert reports. Japanese language proficiency is central to the role. Matters are run from Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong as well as the wider global network, and the successful candidate will work closely with Japanese clients and counsel.
