Architect

Role DescriptionAn Architect is responsible for designing, developing, coordinating, and overseeing architectural projects from concept development through construction completion. The role works closely with clients, engineers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, technical, safety, regulatory, budget, and schedule requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop architectural concepts, designs, layouts, plans, elevations, and construction drawings.Prepare and review architectural drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation.Develop design proposals based on client requirements, project objectives, and applicable regulations.Coordinate architectural designs with structural, MEP, civil, and other engineering disciplines.Conduct site visits, surveys, inspections, and assessments to monitor project conditions and progress.Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples, and technical proposals.Ensure architectural works comply with approved designs, specifications, building codes, and quality standards.Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and authorities on architectural matters.Identify design conflicts, technical issues, construction defects, and required modifications.Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and construction activities.Monitor construction progress and ensure architectural works are executed according to approved drawings and specifications.Review and respond to RFIs, technical queries, change requests, and site-related issues.Prepare design presentations, project reports, inspection records, and other documentation.Assist with authority submissions, approvals, permits, and regulatory requirements.Support design development, value engineering, sustainability initiatives, and project improvements.Ensure projects maintain high standards of functionality, aesthetics, safety, quality, and design integrity.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.Relevant experience in architectural design, construction, consulting, or project development.Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, building construction, materials, and detailing.Experience preparing architectural drawings, specifications, layouts, and construction documentation.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D Max, or similar architectural software.Knowledge of applicable UAE building codes, regulations, authority requirements, and international standards is advantageous.Experience coordinating with structural, MEP, civil, and other engineering disciplines.Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, specifications, and site procedures.Strong creative, analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and design quality.Good communication, presentation, coordination, and teamwork abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Professional, reliable, organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple project requirements.
