Architectural & Fit-Out Designer

We are seeking an Architectural & Fit-Out Designer to support the development of corporate offices and operational facilities in Dubai.Working on the client side, you will translate business and operational requirements into practical workplace designs. The role combines hands-on architectural and interior design, space planning, technical design review and coordination with internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors.This position requires recent, direct experience producing and modifying AutoCAD drawings, developing office layouts and creating 3D concepts. You will personally undertake design work throughout the assignment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, modify and update 2D AutoCAD drawings, office layouts and space plans in response to business requirements.Create functional workplace layouts from blank or shell-and-core floor plans, incorporating offices, workstations, meeting rooms, collaborative spaces, reception areas, server rooms and employee facilities.Produce or modify 3D concepts and visualizations to support design discussions and management decisions.Propose creative, practical and cost-conscious solutions that consider space efficiency, departmental adjacencies, circulation, accessibility and employee experience.Review external architectural and fit-out proposals, assess their suitability against operational requirements and recommend technically justified alternatives.Coordinate architectural layouts with MEP, HVAC, lighting, power, ceilings, partitions, furniture, IT and fire/life-safety requirements.Support compliance reviews and the preparation of drawings and documentation for relevant Dubai/UAE authority approvals, including Civil Defence requirements.Participate in design and project meetings, explain proposed solutions and coordinate revisions with management, consultants and contractors.Conduct site visits to verify measurements, site conditions and implementation against approved designs, helping resolve discrepancies.Support projects from concept development through fit-out implementation and handover.Required Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design or a closely related discipline.Ideally 5–10 years of relevant UAE experience in architectural design, interior design, workplace planning or fit-out design.Demonstrable hands-on experience designing corporate office interiors and developing workplace layouts from shell-and-core spaces.Advanced AutoCAD proficiency, with current or recent experience personally producing and modifying DWG drawings.Hands-on proficiency in relevant 3D design and visualization software.Strong understanding of space planning, furniture layouts, dimensions and workplace ergonomics.Practical knowledge of the fit-out lifecycle and coordination between architectural layouts and building services.Familiarity with Dubai/UAE authority approval processes and fire/life-safety requirements applicable to commercial fit-out projects.Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors and suppliers, including reviewing and constructively challenging design proposals.Strong communication, stakeholder coordination and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently manage assigned design tasks.Willingness to attend site visits as required.Ideal CandidateYou are a technically hands-on designer who enjoys turning requirements into workable layouts.
