Role Overview

We are seeking a disciplined, detail-oriented Architectural BIM Specialist to join our in-house property management and engineering team. Operating in an active owner-representative environment, this role bridges hands-on drafting, regulatory space planning, and technical project coordination across our commercial, residential, and renovation assets.

Core Responsibilities

1. 2D Space Planning & Code Compliance

Develop functional, optimized 2D space plans, tenancy splits, and refurbishment layouts in AutoCAD/Revit to secure leadership sign-off prior to detailed modeling.

Enforce strict compliance with the Dubai Building Code (DBC), Dubai Municipality (DM) regulations, and Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) life-safety standards (egress routing, corridor clearances, occupant loads, and fire separations).

Survey existing spaces and translate physical site measurements or legacy archives into clean, standardized 2D base plans.

2. BIM Modeling & Drawing Production

Translate sign-off layouts into coordinated, parametric architectural models within Autodesk Revit.

Extract full tender and construction documentation sets directly from the BIM environment, including dimensioned plans, wall sections, elevations, schedules, and architectural detail callouts.

Produce clear axonometric views, perspective cutaways, and basic spatial presentations directly from Revit to support internal decision-making.

3. Technical Project Coordination & Reporting

Compile concise weekly site progress reports incorporating annotated photo documentation, work-in-progress percentages, and milestone updates.

Maintain structured drawing registers, tracking incoming consultant revisions, as-built updates, and contractor submittal logs.

Conduct regular site inspections across the portfolio to verify contractor execution against approved drawings and identify spatial discrepancies early.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

Experience: 3 to 5 years of continuous architectural drafting and BIM production experience within the UAE (consultancy, contractor, or developer environment).

Regulatory Expertise: Thorough, working familiarity with the Dubai Building Code (DBC) and DCD requirements, with a track record of planning compliant interior layouts without recurring design revisions.

Technical Software:

1. Autodesk Revit: Advanced production capabilities, including model setup, parametric families, drawing composition, and scheduled data extraction.

2. AutoCAD / AutoCAD LT: High-speed 2D drafting proficiency with clean layering and CAD standards.

3. Microsoft Office: Competent in Excel for drawing logs and tracking, and PowerPoint/Word for site reporting.

Optional: Familiarity with real-time rendering plugins (e.g., Enscape, Twinmotion) is beneficial.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or a Diploma in Architectural Drafting / Architectural Technology.
