Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout the RoleThe Area Manager will lead commercial growth across the Toronto region, managing a sales team and developing strong relationships with key customers across the construction market.This is a high-impact leadership role for an experienced construction sales professional with a background in concrete forming, scaffolding, shoring, temporary works, or a closely related construction equipment sector. The successful candidate will take ownership of regional sales performance, develop the commercial team, strengthen key customer relationships, and identify new opportunities across the territory.What You'll DoSales Leadership & Regional GrowthLead, coach, and develop a high-performing commercial sales team.Drive regional sales growth and achieve revenue and profitability targets.Develop and execute the commercial strategy across the territory.Identify new business opportunities across major construction projects.Develop strategic accounts and expand relationships with key contractors and customers.Support the sales team on complex, high-value opportunities.Monitor market activity, competitors, construction trends, and upcoming projects.Customer & Business DevelopmentBuild and maintain relationships with general contractors, concrete contractors, formwork contractors, and other key construction stakeholders.Develop relationships with senior decision-makers across the construction market.Identify upcoming projects where formwork, scaffolding, shoring, or temporary works solutions can add value.Lead customer meetings, negotiations, presentations, and commercial discussions.Develop long-term customer partnerships and increase market share across the region.Represent the business at industry events and customer meetings.Team & Commercial ManagementSet clear objectives and performance expectations for the sales team.Coach and mentor sales professionals to improve commercial performance.Analyse regional performance and identify opportunities for improvement.Work closely with technical, operations, and project teams to support customer requirements.Maintain accurate CRM activity, forecasts, and pipeline reporting.Provide market intelligence and commercial feedback to senior leadership.What You'll Bring5+ years' experience in construction sales, preferably within concrete forming, scaffolding, shoring, temporary works, or construction equipment.Proven experience leading, managing, or developing a commercial sales team.Strong track record of driving regional sales growth and winning new business.Established relationships with general contractors, concrete contractors, formwork contractors, or construction companies.Strong understanding of construction projects, job sites, and the commercial sales cycle.Experience selling technical construction products, equipment, systems, or solutions.Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and convert new opportunities.Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.A hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team.Strong understanding of the local construction market and major project environment.Willingness to travel across the territory as required.
