About the Job Role The Area Visual Merchandiser is responsible for driving consistent brand presentation and superior customer experience across stores in the assigned region. The role involves planning and executing new store openings, store renovations, visual merchandising rollouts, window displays, and in-store communication while ensuring adherence to Merchandising Presentation Manual (MPM) standards, budget compliance, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities 1. New Store Openings & Store Renovations
- Execute all new store openings and renovation projects in line with the latest Merchandising Presentation Manual (MPM), New Store Opening (NSO) guidelines, and Retail Identity standards.
- Design and implement store façade elevations and visual layouts.
- Plan and procure VM assets including mannequins, hangers, visual hardware, signage, and negative area elements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure timely store setup and launch readiness.
- Manage project timelines and ensure store opening milestones are achieved as per schedule.
- Monitor project budgets, negotiate effectively with vendors, and ensure cost optimization.
- Ensure timely submission and closure of billing processes related to VM execution. 2. Visual Experience & Brand Consistency
- Drive superior customer experience through impactful visual merchandising across all assigned stores.
- Ensure timely adaptation and implementation of window displays, seasonal campaigns, and in-store communication dockets.
- Maintain high-quality MPM replication across stores with consistent elevations, density, and product presentation.
- Ensure all stores display current and approved brand communication materials.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with VM standards, retail identity, and brand guidelines.
- Identify opportunities to enhance store aesthetics and customer engagement. 3. VM Operational Excellence
- Execute planned store visits as per the regional VM calendar in collaboration with the Regional VM Manager (RVM) and Regional Manager (RM).
- Conduct structured VM training sessions for store teams and model stores in coordination with Area Business Managers (ABMs).
- Educate frontline teams on MPM implementation, visual standards, mannequin styling, and elevation maintenance.
- Maintain detailed visit reports including observations, action plans, before-and-after photographs, and training records.
- Ensure compliance with all VM processes, documentation, and approval protocols.
- Compile and maintain regional execution photographs and best-practice repositories.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual VM calendars and reporting requirements.
- Ensure timely updating and management of all store dockets and VM communications. Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate in Fashion, Design, Retail Management, Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, or related discipline.
- 4-8 years of experience in Visual Merchandising within Fashion Retail, Apparel, Lifestyle, Department Stores, or Specialty Retail.
- Hands-on experience in store openings, VM execution, and retail operations.
- Experience managing multiple stores across a region.
- Strong visual merchandising and styling expertise.
- Knowledge of retail layouts, space planning, and VM principles.
- Vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Project management and execution excellence.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
- Ability to travel extensively across the assigned region.
