Team members work together in a client-centered environment where integrity, advocacy, and community impact are valued.About the opportunityRafi Law Group is accepting applications from law school graduates who qualify for the Arizona Lawyer Apprentice Program and want to practice in Yuma. This position offers supervised, hands-on client representation in a rural Arizona community during the program’s two-year period.The lawyer apprentice will work from our Yuma office with a qualified Arizona supervising attorney. Legal work and client representation will begin only after the required ALAP license is issued, and all work will follow the program’s supervision requirements.Upon successful completion of the two-year ALAP apprenticeship and compliance with all program requirements, participants are eligible to convert their ALAP license to regular admission to practice law in Arizona. This requires a supervising attorney’s attestation that the participant is capable of practicing without supervision and a recommendation for admission from a judge before whom the participant has regularly appeared or an attorney outside the participant’s employer who is familiar with their work.What you will do· Meet with clients, learn their goals, and communicate case developments clearly and promptly.· Investigate personal injury claims, review records and evidence, and assess liability and damages.· Draft correspondence, demands, and other case materials under appropriate supervision.· Work with the supervising attorney on negotiations, strategy, and other authorized advocacy.· Maintain accurate case files, deadlines, and professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and local stakeholders.Qualifications· J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.· A Uniform Bar Examination score in the ALAP-eligible range of 260–269 on an examination that meets the program’s timing requirements.· Eligibility for Arizona ALAP licensure, including the Arizona admission, character and fitness, MPRE, and Arizona Law Course requirements.· Ability to work full time from Yuma and commit to at least two years of qualifying supervised practice.About Rafi Law GroupRafi Law Group is an Arizona personal injury firm with a growing presence in Yuma.
