Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Art Curator & Gallery Manager to lead the curatorial direction and day-to-day gallery experience across Stonex Art spaces.The role will be responsible for curating exhibitions, managing artists and creative partners, engaging with collectors and the art community, and ensuring seamless execution of gallery experiences from concept to installation.The ideal candidate will combine strong curatorial expertise with gallery management, project execution and relationship-building skills.Key ResponsibilitiesCuratorial & Exhibition ManagementDevelop and execute exhibition concepts in line with the annual curatorial programme and Stonex Art's vision.Research artists, artworks, themes and contemporary art practices.Develop exhibition narratives, curatorial notes, catalogues and other interpretive content.Coordinate artwork selection, acquisition/loans, preparation, display and presentation.Manage exhibition installation, de-installation, fabrication and artwork logistics.Work closely with artists, galleries, designers, fabricators and other creative partners.Gallery Management & OperationsOversee day-to-day functioning and presentation of the gallery.Ensure artworks, installations and displays are maintained to the required standards.Coordinate lighting, climate control, display arrangements, signage and visitor experience.Manage vendors, fabricators, installers and other external partners.Ensure exhibitions and gallery programmes are delivered within timelines and budgets.Maintain documentation related to artworks, exhibitions, installations and gallery projects.Collector & Community EngagementBuild and maintain relationships with art collectors, HNIs/UHNIs, architects, interior designers and cultural stakeholders.Develop and nurture a strong gallery and art community.Organise curator-led walkthroughs, artist interactions, previews, talks and other engagement initiatives.Support meaningful conversations around artworks, artists and exhibitions.Represent Stonex Art at relevant art, design and cultural events.Art & Cultural NetworkBuild relationships with artists, galleries, institutions, curators, collectors and cultural organisations.Identify emerging artists, creative collaborations and opportunities relevant to Stonex Art.Stay updated on contemporary Indian and international art trends, exhibitions and practices.Experiential & Spatial CurationContribute to creating immersive experiences that bring together art, design, natural stone, architecture and storytelling.Work with internal and external design teams to ensure art installations complement the overall spatial experience.Explore innovative formats for audience engagement and interpretation.Desired Skills & Experience5+ years of experience in art curation, gallery management, museum exhibitions or a similar role within the art and cultural ecosystem.Experience with established art galleries, museums, cultural institutions or luxury art/design platforms preferred.Strong understanding of contemporary art and the Indian art ecosystem.Proven experience in exhibition conceptualisation, planning and execution.Strong network of artists, galleries, collectors and cultural stakeholders.Experience engaging with HNI/UHNI collectors, architects and designers is an advantage.Strong project management and organisational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to independently manage multiple projects and stakeholders.Strong aesthetic sensibility and passion for art, design, luxury and spatial experiences.Comfortable working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial and highly collaborative environment.Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who can bring together curatorial thinking, gallery operations and relationship management—someone who can independently take an exhibition or gallery project from concept → artist/partner coordination → execution → installation → audience/collector engagement.Candidates from contemporary art galleries, museums, cultural institutions, luxury art/design platforms, or premium lifestyle environments with strong curatorial and exhibition experience will be considered.
