Art Handling Technician

A strong commitment to quality standards and customer service underpins all operations.Role Description The Art Handling Technician is responsible for the safe handling, packing, unpacking, installation, and de-installation of artworks and related items. This full-time, on-site role based in Doha involves preparing artworks for transport, performing condition checks, and ensuring proper documentation and labeling. The technician coordinates closely with logistics teams on shipment schedules, assists with customs-related procedures for art pieces, and supports inventory management in storage areas. Daily activities include using appropriate tools and materials, maintaining clean and secure workspaces, and following strict safety and conservation guidelines. The role may also involve working at client sites, galleries, and exhibitions, and requires careful attention to detail and adherence to company standards.QualificationsExperience in art handling, including packing, crating, installation, and de-installation of artworks using appropriate materials and techniques.Knowledge of artwork care, basic conservation awareness, and safe handling practices for delicate and high-value items.Familiarity with logistics processes related to art shipments, including coordination with transport teams and understanding of customs and documentation procedures.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory, track items accurately, and maintain clear records and labels.Ability to use hand tools and equipment safely, with good manual handling skills and adherence to health and safety protocols.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external partners in a professional manner.High level of attention to detail, reliability, and integrity, with the ability to work on-site in Doha and occasionally outside standard hours if needed.Previous experience in museums, galleries, art logistics, or related fields is preferred; vocational training or relevant certification in logistics, arts, or handling is an advantage.Filipino nationality preferred Must have valid QID and transferable visaWith 2-3 years experience in art handling related jobsFor interested and experienced applicants, please send your updated CV to sales@syndicategroup.com.qa with subject line - JOB APPLICATION FOR ART HANDLING TECHNICIANOnly shortlisted applicant will be contacted by our team for interview.
