Art Teacher

To plan and deliver engaging art lessons that foster creativity, artistic expression, and aesthetic appreciation among upper primary students, while actively contributing to school events, celebrations, exhibitions, and co-curricular activities.Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching and LearningPlan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate art lessons that develop students’ creativity, imagination, and artistic skills.Teach a variety of techniques, including drawing, painting, sketching, craftwork, and mixed-media art.Encourage experimentation, independent thinking, and creative problem-solving.Assess students’ work, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback.Maintain a stimulating, inclusive, and well-organised art classroom.School Events and CelebrationsPlan and execute creative art-related activities for school events, national days, cultural celebrations, seasonal festivities, and special occasions.Design and prepare event backdrops, stage decorations, display boards, banners, props, and other visual materials as required.Collaborate with the school leadership, teachers, and event coordinators to develop creative concepts and execute event-related requirements.Organise student art exhibitions, competitions, displays, and showcases to celebrate students’ creativity and achievements.Guide students in preparing artwork, models, decorations, and creative projects for assemblies, performances, open days, and other school events.Ensure timely preparation and installation of event décor and displays in accordance with the school’s requirements and timelines.Contribute to interdisciplinary projects and collaborative activities across different subject areas.Resource and Classroom ManagementManage art supplies, materials, and equipment efficiently and responsibly.Ensure the safe use of tools and materials and maintain a clean, organised working environment.Maintain an organised portfolio or record of students’ artwork and creative progress.Ensure that art displays and classroom environments are refreshed regularly to showcase student learning.Professional ResponsibilitiesWork collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership to support academic and co-curricular initiatives.Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, school functions, and other assigned responsibilities.Demonstrate flexibility, creativity, initiative, and strong organisational skills, particularly during busy event periods.Required Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum 3 years of relevant art teaching experience,preferably at the primary or upper primary level.A degree or relevant qualification in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred.Strong artistic, creative, and visual design skills.Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational abilities.Experience in event décor, art exhibitions, stage design, and school celebrations will be an advantage.Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.Application ProcessInterested candidates are requested to email their updated CVs to raastinafasat.89661@bh.edu.pk.Join Beaconhouse School System, Askari X, Lahore, and inspire creativity while bringing school events and celebrations to life.
