Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate art lessons for Kindergarten students, encouraging creativity and self-expression through drawing, painting, crafts, and other artistic activitiesCreate a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages children to explore different materials, techniques, and forms of artistic expressionIntroduce students to basic art concepts, colors, shapes, textures, and creative techniques through interactive and play-based activitiesAdapt art activities to suit different developmental levels, abilities, and learning stylesEncourage children's confidence, imagination, fine motor skills, and coordination through hands-on art experiencesMonitor and assess students' participation, progress, and creative development, providing constructive feedback and supportPrepare and organize art materials and resources while ensuring proper classroom organization and safetyDisplay and celebrate students' artwork to encourage a sense of achievement and pride in their creative workCollaborate with KG teachers and colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and school activitiesParticipate in school events, exhibitions, projects, and other activities that promote students' creativity and artistic developmentRequirementsBachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related fieldPrevious experience teaching Art to Kindergarten or Early Years students is highly preferredStrong understanding of child development and age-appropriate art education practicesCreative, enthusiastic, and passionate about working with young childrenAbility to design engaging, hands-on, and developmentally appropriate art activitiesStrong classroom management and organizational skillsAbility to create a child-centered, nurturing, and stimulating learning environmentGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively with teachers and other school staffCommitment to professional development and continuous improvement of teaching practicesSafeguarding Statement: The safety and well-being of our students is our top priority.
