Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Fimador are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious SaaS organisation operating at the forefront of AI-driven enterprise technology. We’re looking for a Principal Software Engineer with deep expertise in Generative AI and large-scale platform engineering to help shape the next generation of intelligent software products used within highly complex, data-rich environments.What you’ll be doing:Architecting and delivering advanced GenAI solutions across cloud-native platformsDesigning intelligent systems using approaches such as RAG pipelines, LLM orchestration, semantic search, and AI-assisted workflow automationLeading the transition of AI initiatives from proof-of-concept into production environmentsDriving engineering standards around reliability, observability, scalability, and AI governanceCollaborating with cross-functional teams including data specialists, product leaders, and domain expertsMentoring engineers and influencing technical strategy across the wider organisationWhat we’re looking for:Strong experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications in productionExpertise across AI/ML engineering, distributed systems, APIs, and cloud architectureExperience working with vector databases, unstructured data pipelines, and modern retrieval techniquesProven ability to balance performance, cost, security, and scalability in enterprise AI systemsStrong software engineering fundamentals with experience leading technical delivery at senior/principal levelExposure to AWS, Databricks, or modern cloud data ecosystems would be advantageousBackground in regulated or highly data-sensitive industriesExperience establishing AI engineering best practices, evaluation frameworks, or governance standards
