The company values innovation, technical excellence, and a strong commitment to trustworthy AI.Role Description As an Artificial Intelligence Engineer at I-THAM, you will design, develop, and optimize AI models and systems that support secure and reliable AI operations. You will work on pattern recognition, neural network architectures, and NLP solutions to address complex challenges in AI interpretability and robustness. Daily tasks include implementing and testing algorithms, collaborating with software developers to integrate AI components into production systems, and conducting experiments to evaluate model performance and security. You will document your work clearly, participate in code reviews, and contribute to technical discussions on system design and risk mitigation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Amsterdam, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams.Qualifications Solid foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.Hands-on experience with Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks, including model design, training, and evaluation.Practical knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP), with experience implementing and tuning NLP models.Proficiency in Software Development, ideally in languages such as Python, C++, or Java, and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).Experience building interpretable, reliable, and secure AI systems, with awareness of AI safety and robustness techniques.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related technical field.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on-site in a collaborative team environment in Amsterdam.Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; experience in mission-critical or high-security environments is a plus.
