The ideal candidate should be capable of building end-to-end solutions involving intelligent document processing, automated tax workflows, and integrations with leading tax software.What You'll BuildAI-powered document extraction (W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, receipts, brokerage statements)Automated tax preparation workflows with human reviewIntegrations with leading tax software such as Drake, UltraTax, ProConnect, Lacerte, and CCHAI-driven advisory tools for tax planning and complianceAI & LLM Expertise (Production Experience Required)Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and GeminiExperience building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using vector databases, chunking, and retrieval techniquesExperience with AI agents, tool calling, and multi-step orchestrationDocument parsing using PDFs, images, and OCR technologiesStrong prompt engineering skills in production environmentsFull Stack DevelopmentExperience with one or more of the following:Java & Spring BootPython (FastAPI)Node.js / TypeScriptReact.js or similar modern JavaScript frameworksAWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Experience building, deploying, and maintaining end-to-end applications independentlyDesired Work StyleExperience taking projects from idea to production (professional, freelance, or personal projects)Comfortable making technical decisions with incomplete informationFocused on delivering functional, high-quality software over perfect architectureStrong ownership mindset with the ability to solve problems independently and drive projects to completion
