We're looking for a hands-on AI Engineer / Software Engineer (Tech/AI company preferred over Finanical Services) to join a small, high-calibre team building a new AI product from the ground up.This is not an AI research, consulting or strategy role. It's a highly technical engineering role focused on building, shipping and operating production-grade agentic AI systems, with significant scope for experimentation and product development.You'll work with modern LLM technologies to build agent orchestration, tool use, RAG/GraphRAG, context and memory systems, evaluation and observability, alongside the underlying APIs, services and deployment infrastructure required to run them reliably in production.The environment has the pace, autonomy and experimentation of an AI startup, combined with the resources and scale to take what you build into production.What You'll DoDesign, build and ship production-grade AI applications and agentic systems.Build agent orchestration incorporating planning, tool use, context and memory.Develop RAG and GraphRAG systems, semantic search and knowledge retrieval.Build reliable LLM-powered workflows and AI products, taking ideas from experimentation through to production.Develop the underlying APIs, services and infrastructure required to operate AI systems at scale.Build evaluation frameworks, observability and monitoring to measure and improve agent performance.Work with containers, cloud infrastructure and deployment/control-plane technologies to run AI systems reliably.Experiment rapidly with emerging models, frameworks and architectures and turn successful ideas into production capabilities.Take genuine ownership of systems from architecture through implementation, deployment and operation.What We're Looking ForWe're looking for software engineers who are exceptional AI engineers — people who genuinely enjoy building things and are comfortable operating at the cutting edge of the technology.You'll ideally have:Strong software engineering fundamentals and significant hands-on coding experience.Proven experience shipping and operating production AI/agentic systems.Strong Python experience and a track record of building APIs, services and production software.Hands-on experience with agent orchestration, tool calling, RAG/GraphRAG, context or memory management.Experience building evaluation, observability, monitoring or reliability systems for AI applications.Experience with modern LLM/agent frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, OpenAI Agents SDK, Google ADK, Claude Agent SDK, CrewAI or similar.Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern deployment practices, ideally including Docker, Kubernetes or equivalent containerised environments.A strong interest in AI product experimentation and the ability to take an idea from prototype to something people actually use.The ability to work autonomously in a small, highly technical engineering team.We're particularly interested in engineers coming from:AI-native technology companiesEarly-stage / high-growth AI startupsTeams building production agentic AI productsAI platform / infrastructure engineering teamsStrong software engineering teams where you've moved deeply into LLM and agent engineeringWe're less concerned with the prestige of the company on your CV than what you personally built and shipped.
