Since 2007, Extia, an IT consulting company, has been offering a unique approach in its field by combining well-being at work and performance.Our philosophy at Extia is “First who, then what", so let's go for it!🚀First who?Analytical and a strong problem-solver, you can easily translate complex business needs into impactful AI solutions.This role is hybrid, 2-3 days per week in the office (Bucharest).🚀Then what?AI Engineer focusing on designing, developing, and deploying scalable AI models that drive impactful business decisions, with the following tasks:Architect RAG Systems: Design, build, and scale advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines to ground LLM responses in proprietary enterprise data.Develop Agentic Workflows: Construct complex, multi-step AI agents and stateful applications using LangChain and LangGraph.Model Integration: Integrate, prompt, and orchestrate both commercial (OpenAI, Anthropic) and open-source (Llama 3, Mistral) language models.Backend Engineering: Write clean, highly optimized, and scalable Python code to deploy AI microservices into production environments.Optimize Retrieval: Experiment with and refine document parsing, chunking strategies, embedding models, and vector search algorithms to improve pipeline accuracy.Evaluate & Iterate: Implement evaluation metrics to continuously measure and reduce hallucination rates, latency, and operational costs.Required technical skills:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with demonstrated experience building and deploying Large Language Model (LLM) applications to production.Strong programming expertise in Python.Proficiency in designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and architectures.Hands-on experience building complex, stateful multi-agent workflows using LangChain and LangGraph.Experience integrating vector databases and deploying scalable AI solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient production-level code, adhering to software engineering best practices (version control, testing, CI/CD).🚀 Do you recognize yourself in the "Who" and represent the "What"?
