Company Description We’re at the start of the biggest shift in software since the internet — software that no longer just responds, but acts: making decisions, moving money, and touching real lives at machine speed. It’s a future full of promise. And it only works if someone builds the trust that has to sit beneath it.Enterprises and public institutions are racing to deploy AI agents — but in regulated environments like banking, healthcare, and the public sector, “the agent did something” isn’t good enough. You have to be able to control what agents are allowed to do, and prove it afterwards. Today, almost nobody can. That’s what we’re building. Dirion is the governance and control infrastructure that makes enterprise AI agents safe to deploy where the stakes are real — the foundation that lets the most cautious institutions in Europe say yes to AI instead of no. It’s a category being defined right now, and you would help define it from the first lines of code. Dirion is owned by Qbrick AB (NGM: QBRICK). The technology works. Now we’re building the company — and we’re looking for the people who want to build it with us. Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Artificial Intelligence Engineer role based in Stockholm, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Artificial Intelligence Engineer will design, implement, and optimize AI models and systems that support Dirion’s governance and enforcement layer for AI agents. Day-to-day tasks include developing and maintaining software components for real-time policy enforcement, integrating machine learning and pattern recognition methods, and collaborating with product and security teams to ensure robust, compliant AI behavior. The role involves working with natural language processing, neural networks, and related technologies, conducting research and experimentation, and contributing to scalable, secure production deployments. The engineer will also participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of the AI platform.QualificationsStrong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.Proficiency in Software Development for production systems, using languages such as Python, Java, or similar.Experience with Neural Networks and Pattern Recognition for real-world AI applications.Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and frameworks.Familiarity with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and secure, scalable system design.Understanding of AI safety, governance, or compliance frameworks (e.g., EU AI Act) is a strong plus.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly. What we offer: •   A foundational role at a company building genuinely novel infrastructure, at the moment AI governance goes from “nice idea” to legal requirement•   Real ownership — significant technical scope, and equity in the company for the right candidate•   Warm access to serious enterprise and public-sector design partners from day one•   A small, senior team that ships — based in Stockholm, fast becoming the AI capital of Europe.
