About TradeComplizeTradeComplize is building domain-specific, explainable AI for trade finance. Our platform helps banks and financial institutions examine documentary credit transactions by bringing together document intelligence, regulatory reasoning, cross-document validation and expert review. We work with Letter of Credit document sets such as commercial invoices, bills of lading and certificates of origin, helping teams identify potential discrepancies with clear evidence, traceable rule references and human oversight. We are looking for an AI Engineer to help build reliable, production-ready AI systems for one of the most complex and document-intensive areas of global banking.What you will doDesign, build and improve AI-powered document intelligence workflows for trade finance.Develop systems for OCR, information extraction, document classification and cross-document validation.Work on LLM, RAG and agentic workflows that connect documents, rules, context and evidence.Build explainable outputs that make findings reviewable by trade finance experts.Develop evaluation, regression-testing and model-governance processes using real-world document patterns.Collaborate closely with trade finance specialists, product and engineering teams to translate domain requirements into robust product capabilities.Contribute to secure deployment architectures, including on-premise and isolated customer environments.Integrate AI services with APIs, webhooks and enterprise banking workflows.What we are looking forStrong software engineering experience with Python.Hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML or LLM-based products in production.Experience with LLM applications, RAG, prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks or agentic systems.Familiarity with document AI, OCR, Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), NLP or computer vision.Solid understanding of APIs, data pipelines, cloud or containerised deployment environments.A pragmatic approach to reliability, testing, security and responsible AI.Strong written and spoken English.Ability to work independently in a remote, international team.Nice to haveExperience in financial services, RegTech, banking, compliance or enterprise SaaS.Knowledge of trade finance, documentary credits, UCP 600 or ISO 20022.Experience with private/on-premise deployment, federated learning, privacy-preserving ML or secure AI architectures.Experience with auditability, explainability or human-in-the-loop AI systems.Why TradeComplize?You will work on AI that supports real expert decisions rather than producing black-box outputs.
