Artificial Intelligence Engineer

AI EngineerHybrid role in Newcastle upon TyneSalary - up to 100k.We’re looking for an experienced AI Engineer to help integrate and develop AI technologies across innovative software products.You’ll work closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers and other stakeholders to take AI concepts from research and prototyping through to production, helping identify new opportunities where AI can improve products and user experiences.What You’ll Be DoingDesigning, developing and integrating AI/ML solutions into productsWorking with LLMs, NLP and machine learning modelsResearching and evaluating emerging AI technologiesPrototyping new AI-driven features and taking them into productionOptimising AI models and ensuring solutions are scalable and reliableWorking closely with backend and product teamsTranslating business requirements into practical AI solutionsDocumenting AI workflows and sharing knowledge across the wider teamCommunicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersTaking ownership of AI projects from concept through to deliveryWhat We’re Looking ForCommercial experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutionsStrong Python skillsExperience with TensorFlow, PyTorch or similarStrong understanding of Machine Learning, NLP and LLMsBackend engineering experience with Python and/or Node.jsExperience integrating AI models into software productsFamiliarity with MLOps, Git and modern software development practicesStrong problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work independently and take ownership of projectsDesirableAWS or other cloud experienceNode.js / TypeScriptReact or frontend development experience
