About the RoleThe Artwork Coordinator is responsible for ensuring artwork changes are progressed effectively, efficiently and on time. These activities will be completed in collaboration with all the relavant parties in the artwork process, both internal and external within the remit of the artwork hub or market(s) covered by the role. Act as a point of escalation to resolve issues and conflicts, as well as oversight of the artwork change global programmes for associated Market/HUB. Collates and analyses market performance data and information to support overall supply chain performance monitoring and improvement.ResponsibilitiesArtwork Coordinator acts as Project Manager of an artwork change in Artwork Management System, prepares a project plan against the pack implementation strategy and timings provided by regulatory and manufacturing site lead-times.Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of packaging artwork whilst adhering to artwork and packaging supply chain and local processes and procedures.Manage artwork approval between all relevant parties in the artwork process, both internal (regulatory, site, other required by business) and external (manufacturing sites).Maintain and update the artwork and packaging supply chain data systems and any local artwork tracking tools, providing status updates to the artwork manager and key internal stakeholders highlighting any issues or risks to delivery.Participate in cross-functional project meetings, providing guidance on key artwork timings, milestones and issues.Conduct regular Team Performance Meetings for their Hubs (Management of Local trackers, Specific Team Governance and Performance Meetings).Communicates any changes to the timings during the artwork process to Regulatory and Sites and all any other relevant parties.Carries out performance tracking and escalates issues as required to ensure on time expected delivery of artwork for new/changed packs in market.Offers mentorship and training / coaching to staff taking responsibility for artwork tasks, supporting them to achieve the required levels of competence for unsupervised working in the artwork process.Executes continuous improvement projects as required to improve any aspect of service delivery to the client group or across the whole artwork and packaging supply chain.Managing performance and associated improvements of the market managed.Support in Ad Hoc and LOC specific needs based on business requirements and Hub Managers local ways of working subject to agreement with APS Artwork Operations Team and Hub Artwork Manager / Lead.QualificationsDiploma or Degree preferably in science or technical discipline.Technically trained and / or qualified in commercial/production artwork/key line/Drawings creation tools and techniques.Use of CAD or equivalent technical drawing creation systems with recognized qualification.The job holder must be able to understand a complex range of demands and be able to match these to available resources, thus the underlying knowledge of problem solving is required.B.Sc. or M.Sc.Logistics, project management, business studies, pack graphic artwork design or packaging technology.Required SkillsUnderstanding of artwork-related aspects of planning, graphic design, materials, forming and finishing processes, suppliers, specifications and documentation (incl. BOM’s), and an understanding of artwork criticality in the product supply process.Good understanding of logistics processes.Effective communication through written and spoken English.Problem solving and issue resolution with a pro-active approach.Strong attention to detail.Able to work independently and as part of a wider team.Able to manage workload and time effectively, prioritising where necessary.Understanding of new product introduction processes and a knowledge of the pack range.Can manage diverse relationships across multi-country, multi-cultural and cross-functional environments.An understanding of legal restrictions and requirements relating to artwork production.High level PC skills.Able to communicate effectively through a range of media, to various levels in the organisation. Preferred SkillsTechnically trained and / or qualified in commercial/production artwork/key line/Drawings creation tools and techniques.Use of CAD or equivalent technical drawing creation systems with recognized qualification.
