Key responsibilitiesSr AS400 Engineer is part of the DevOps team with key responsibilities of maintaining the AS400 applications and do the changes (enhancements/fixes) for the existing applications Supervisory / Managerial responsibilitiesAs a senior engineer, it is expected to guide and mentor other engineers in the team and sometimes takes the position of Team Lead as necessary Other responsibilities –Budgets, targets, equipment :Delivery KPIs – ITSM KPIs like SLA, MTTR, Escalations, incidents reduction etc DevSecOps KPIs – DORA metrics, change deployment rateMust Have Skills/Knowledge:AS400 / IBM iTechnical SkillsStrong experience with: RPG III / RPG IV / RPG ILE / RPG Free Format AS400 Lansa CLP programming DB2/400 (DB400) and embedded SQLUnderstanding of: AS400 job processing, batch jobs, and scheduling File systems, data structures, and database design Integration & Application Understanding Experience with legacy ERP systems and custom-built applications Knowledge of: Interfaces between AS400 and other systems (SAP, POS, logistics systems) Ability to analyze data flows, APIs, and integration dependencies Incident & Production Support Hands-on experience in: Incident triaging and resolution Root Cause Analysis (RCA) ITSM tools and ticketing workflows
