ASEAN Customs Affairs & Trade Compliance Senior Manager-Thailand

1. Thai Customs engagement (core): Act as primary interface to Thai Customs and border authorities; maintain regular communication and escalation channels; lead solution design, testing, and go-live for the PSP system, Thailand National Single Window (NSW), and related integrations, keeping declaration data and message standards aligned with regulatory requirements.2. Clearance operations: Work with the eWTP Thailand warehouse, customs brokers, and internal logistics and business teams on bonded warehousing, declaration filing, inspection and release, duty drawback, and returns; build rapid-response mechanisms to clear bottlenecks affecting lead time and cost.3. Compliance framework: Manage declaration elements, HS classification, valuation, origin, and preferential tariff application (RCEP, ACFTA); drive AEO certification, bonded and transit models, and low-value goods tax rules (Thailand VAT, Malaysia LVG, Vietnam e-commerce import requirements), producing operating guidance and risk registers.4. Regional monitoring: Track customs modernization, cross-border e-commerce supervision, and data declaration requirements across ASEAN; deliver impact assessments, risk alerts, and response recommendations for priority markets.5. Malaysia & Vietnam support: Drive engagement with Royal Malaysian Customs, Vietnam Customs, and related authorities in support of B2B and platform business; support compliant rollout of AI trade tools for SMEs through pilots and training with customs, chambers of commerce, and SME service organizations.6. Collaboration & reporting: Partner with legal, compliance, logistics, product, technology, and business teams to translate regulatory requirements into system capabilities and operating procedures; deliver regular regulatory briefings and recommendations to management; represent the company in customs and trade facilitation forums.Job Description1. Bachelor's degree or above (Master's preferred) in international trade, customs administration, supply chain, law, or a related field.2. Experience in customs affairs, clearance operations, cross-border e-commerce regulation, trade compliance, or customs systems integration; background with customs brokerages, international logistics firms, in-house trade compliance functions, customs authorities, or clearance technology providers preferred.3. Familiarity with end-to-end clearance processes and ASEAN customs regimes; solid understanding of declaration requirements, e-commerce tax rules, and port-level practice in Thailand, Malaysia, or Vietnam; single window or customs data integration project experience preferred.4. Strong ability to interpret regulatory change, assess impact on lead time, cost, and compliance risk, and produce executable solutions; proven project delivery and cross-functional coordination skills.5. Solid English communication and writing skills; able to draft technical and regulatory materials independently and work in a multinational team. Thai, Malay, or Vietnamese proficiency — or two-plus years working in one of these markets — is a plus.6. High accountability, sound judgment, and professional integrity; comfortable across time zones with regional business travel.
