Assessment & Evaluation Specialist

Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is seeking an Assessment & Evaluation Specialist to join our Teaching & Learning Quality Enhancement Unit.This role combines educational research, data analysis, and program evaluation to assess the effectiveness of teaching and learning processes and support evidence-based improvements in academic education.The position involves designing and implementing evaluation frameworks, conducting qualitative and quantitative research, analyzing findings, and working closely with academic staff to improve teaching quality and student learning experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement evaluation plans to assess changes in academic programs and courses, including their impact on teaching quality, student experience, learning outcomes, and skill development.Develop qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation tools, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observation protocols.Collect data on teaching and learning processes through field research, surveys, interviews, and classroom observations.Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, evaluate outcomes, and generate actionable insights.Collaborate with faculty members, department heads, and the Teaching & Learning Quality Enhancement team.Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports, presenting findings, conclusions, and recommendations to academic and institutional stakeholders.Support continuous improvement initiatives through research-based evaluation and data-driven insights.RequirementsBachelor's degree, preferably in Education, Psychology, Statistics, or Data Analysis. Master's degree preferred.At least 4 years of relevant professional experience.Proven experience conducting field research.Experience evaluating teaching and learning processes.Hands-on experience designing and implementing evaluation tools, including questionnaires, interviews, and focus groups.Experience performing statistical analysis of surveys, questionnaires, and standardized learning assessments.Experience preparing professional evaluation reports.Position DetailsJoin BGU and contribute to improving the quality of higher education through research, evaluation, and evidence-based decision-making.
