Eagle Farm LocationFull time permanent/On-siteNewly created role to support CFOExcellent development opportunityOur client, an established and highly successful import and distribution business is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join its finance team and support accurate reporting, commercial decision-making and continuous improvement across the business.The role:Manage financial data integrity, accounting compliance and reconciliations.Support month-end processing, journals and management reporting.Assist with budgeting, forecasting and business performance analysis.Provide finance support to operational and commercial teams.Assist with audit, statutory reporting and compliance requirements.Contribute to process improvement, automation and finance projects.About you:Accounting, Finance or Commerce qualification.At least three years’ experience in an Assistant Accountant either in commercial or a public practice environment.Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP or accounting systems.High attention to detail, strong integrity and a genuine interest in commercial performance.Takes ownership, works collaboratively and embraces continuous learning.Reliable, commercially curious and comfortable managing competing priorities.Working in a team of five finance operatives this is a newly created role to support the CFO with financial reporting and assisting with improvement and streamlining of internal processes.
