This is a hybrid working role - 3 days office, 2 days from home.THE ROLEWorking closely with the Buyer, you'll support the day-to-day running of the Furniture category.Support range reviews and product development from concept through to launch.Keep the critical path on track across multiple products.Own and maintain accurate range plans, keeping product, pricing and range information up to date.Keep an eye on competitor activity, new products and wider market trends, feeding back relevant insight and ideas.Build strong working relationships across Merchandising, Design and the wider businessWork closely with UK, EU and FE suppliers plus occasional supplier visits.Support a Buying Assistant, helping to coordinate the day-to-day administration of the category.As you develop, you’ll take ownership of small sub-categories, gradually building your skills and gaining more responsibility within the department.ABOUT YOUYou could have experience as a Buying Assistant, Assistant Buyer, Junior Buyer or similar. Titles can vary from one retailer to another but either way you'll have built good foundations in Buying with a good understanding of the buying process, product development cycles and critical path. Furniture experience would be a big bonus but it isn't essential for this role.
