The role involves supporting faculty-led research projects through literature review, data collection, data analysis, and preparation of research reports or publications. The Research Assistant will assist in designing experiments or field studies, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring ethical and methodological standards are followed. Daily tasks may include coordinating with supervisors, collaborating with other students, presenting interim findings, and helping with administrative duties related to research activities. The position offers hands-on experience in research methods, exposure to multidisciplinary projects, and opportunities for academic and professional development.Qualifications Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative dataResearch skills, including literature review, study design, and data collectionLaboratory skills relevant to the field of study and adherence to safety protocolsData analysis skills, including use of statistical or analytical softwareEffective communication skills, including written and oral presentation of research findingsEnrollment in or completion of a relevant graduate program (e.g., agriculture, health sciences, mining, social sciences)Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and peers in a diverse academic environmentStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to research integrity
