The role focuses on managing complex acute and chronic medical conditions, developing individualized treatment plans, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered healthcare delivery.The position plays a key role in improving patient outcomes, reducing avoidable hospital admissions, and enhancing continuity of care through evidence-based clinical practices, proactive disease management, and effective collaboration with healthcare teams. The Assistant Consultant ensures safe, compassionate, and comprehensive medical care aligned with healthcare regulations, CBAHI standards, and Ministry of Health requirements.Key Responsibilities1. Patient Consultation and Clinical Case ManagementConduct comprehensive medical assessments during home visits and virtual consultations.Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of internal medicine conditions, including acute and chronic diseases.Identify high-risk patients and implement early interventions to prevent complications and unnecessary hospital admissions.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including medication management, lifestyle modifications, referrals, and follow-up plans.Monitor disease progression and adjust treatment plans according to patient needs and clinical findings.Lead advanced care planning discussions and support clinical decision-making for complex cases.Provide medical consultations through telemedicine platforms when required.Ensure accurate documentation of assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and clinical outcomes according to evidence-based practices.Educate patients and families regarding disease management, medication adherence, and preventive healthcare.Coordinate care with specialists and multidisciplinary healthcare providers.2. Clinical Quality and ComplianceEnsure compliance with clinical guidelines, healthcare regulations, CBAHI standards, and Ministry of Health requirements.Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and patient safety programs.Promote a culture of excellence, safety, and professional clinical practice.Review and contribute to clinical policies, procedures, and care pathways.Support inspection processes and prepare required clinical reports.Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control standards and medical governance requirements.3. Professional Development and Clinical LeadershipLead educational sessions, case discussions, and clinical training activities for healthcare teams.Share medical knowledge and best practices with multidisciplinary teams.Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines, protocols, and treatment pathways.Participate in medical conferences, workshops, and continuing medical education activities.Maintain professional development and stay updated with advances in internal medicine.4. Health Information Systems (HIS) and Medical DocumentationUtilize electronic medical records and healthcare information systems effectively.Ensure complete, accurate, and timely documentation of patient information.Support compliance with Ministry of Health documentation requirements.Participate in training and improvement initiatives related to digital healthcare systems.Collaborate with relevant departments to resolve healthcare technology issues when required.5.
