قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجThe Assistant Controller will play a key role in managing financial reporting, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. This position will collaborate closely with project managers, operations leaders, and the Controller to maintain accurate financial data and drive process improvements. The role also involves supervising accounting staff and assisting with audits and special projects. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.Review and maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance metrics.Support project accounting functions, including job costing, revenue recognition, and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting.Partner with project managers and operations leaders to monitor project profitability and financial performance.Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.Assist with external audits, tax compliance, and reporting requirements.Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger personnel.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Serve as a backup to the Controller and assist with special projects as needed.Required Experience/Skills5+ years of progressive accounting experience.Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Experience in construction, engineering, specialty contracting, or other project-based industries.Knowledge of job costing, construction accounting, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.Experience with Viewpoint, Sage, CMiC, or similar construction ERP systems.Experience supporting audits, WIP schedules, and multi-entity accounting environments.Strong process improvement and system implementation experience.Preferred Experience/SkillsCPA designation or progress toward CPA certification.Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with internal controls and SOX compliance.Education RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.CPA certification strongly preferred.Continuing education in construction accounting or project-based financial management is a plus.BenefitsIf eligible under the ACA, medical, dental and vision benefits and time off in accordance with local paid sick time laws will be offered.
