JOB DESCRIPTIONAssistant Director of Sales – GCC Leisure, Corporate & MICEHotel: Radisson Beach Resort Palm Jumeirah Location: Dubai, UAEPOSITION SUMMARYRadisson Beach Resort Palm Jumeirah is looking for a highly motivated, commercially driven and results-oriented Assistant Director of Sales – GCC Leisure, Corporate & MICE to join our Sales & Marketing team.The Assistant Director of Sales will play a key role in driving revenue growth across the GCC Leisure, Corporate and MICE segments, developing strategic business relationships and expanding the resort's market presence.The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the UAE and GCC hospitality markets, an established network of corporate and leisure clients, excellent negotiation skills and a proven track record of delivering revenue and business-development results.This is a hands-on leadership position requiring a proactive sales approach, strong commercial awareness and the ability to convert market opportunities into measurable revenue.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Sales Strategy & Business DevelopmentDevelop and execute strategic sales plans for GCC Leisure, Corporate and MICE segments.Identify new business opportunities and develop new revenue-generating accounts.Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.Analyse market trends, competitor activities and customer requirements.Develop action plans to increase the resort's market share and revenue contribution.Identify new feeder markets, business segments and commercial opportunities.2. GCC Leisure SalesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, DMCs, wholesalers and leisure partners across the GCC.Drive room-night production and revenue from GCC leisure markets.Conduct regular sales calls, client visits, presentations and roadshows.Develop strategic partnerships and promotional opportunities with key leisure accounts.Participate in travel trade events, exhibitions, workshops and sales missions.Monitor account production and implement strategies to increase business volume.3. Corporate SalesIdentify, acquire and manage key corporate accounts across the UAE and GCC.Develop strong relationships with corporate decision-makers, travel managers, procurement teams and business partners.Negotiate corporate rates, agreements and long-term commercial partnerships.Conduct regular corporate sales calls, client meetings and account reviews.Develop account-specific strategies to increase room nights, F&B and meeting/event revenue.Maintain strong relationships with existing accounts while continuously developing new business.4. MICE & Group SalesDrive business development for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE).Develop relationships with PCOs, DMCs, event agencies, conference organisers and corporate event planners.Generate and convert leads for conferences, meetings, incentives, weddings, social events and group bookings.Conduct site inspections, client presentations and familiarisation visits.Prepare and negotiate group and event proposals in coordination with the relevant hotel departments.Ensure group and MICE business is commercially viable and aligned with hotel revenue objectives.5. Key Account ManagementDevelop and maintain a strong portfolio of high-value corporate, leisure and MICE accounts.Prepare and implement individual account development plans.Establish long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.Monitor account performance, production and revenue contribution.Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling and repeat business.Conduct regular account reviews and take corrective action where required.6. Sales Calls, Networking & Market RepresentationConduct regular face-to-face sales calls and client entertainment activities.Represent the resort at trade shows, exhibitions, networking events and industry functions.Participate in GCC sales missions, roadshows and industry events.Build strong visibility and brand awareness for the resort within the GCC market.Maintain an active professional network within the hospitality, travel, corporate and MICE industries.7. Revenue & Commercial PerformanceWork closely with Revenue Management to maximise occupancy, ADR and RevPAR.Identify opportunities to increase overall hotel revenue through rooms, F&B, meetings and events.Monitor sales production, conversion ratios, pipeline activity and revenue performance.Provide accurate sales forecasts and business updates to senior management.Ensure negotiated rates and commercial agreements support the hotel's profitability.Continuously evaluate market conditions and adjust sales strategies accordingly.8. Team Leadership & CollaborationSupport the Director of Sales in leading, coaching and developing the sales team.Assist in setting departmental objectives and individual sales targets.Motivate the team to achieve and exceed revenue and business-development goals.Share market intelligence, sales leads and business opportunities with the team.Work closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Reservations, Events, Front Office and Operations.Ensure smooth communication and effective execution of client requirements.9. Sales Reporting & AdministrationMaintain accurate records of accounts, sales activities, leads, opportunities and pipelines.Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts and performance updates.Monitor production against targets and identify gaps requiring immediate action.Maintain accurate CRM and sales database information.Track competitor activity, market trends and account performance.Ensure all contracts, rate agreements and sales documentation are properly maintained.10. Customer & Partner Relationship ManagementMaintain strong and professional relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders.Understand client requirements and provide commercially effective solutions.Handle client concerns professionally and coordinate with relevant departments for timely resolution.Drive repeat business, customer loyalty and long-term partnerships.Ensure a consistently high level of service throughout the sales and contracting process.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Sales & Marketing or a related field.Minimum 8-10 years of progressive hotel sales experience, preferably within an upscale, luxury or international hotel/resort environment.Fluency in both Arabic and English with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.Proven experience in GCC Leisure, Corporate and MICE sales.Strong knowledge of the UAE hospitality and GCC travel markets.Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales and revenue targets.Existing network of corporate clients, travel agencies, DMCs, tour operators and MICE partners across the GCC is highly desirable.Experience handling key accounts, contracts, negotiations and business development.Strong understanding of hotel commercial operations, room revenue and MICE business.Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
